About

We offer a range of bespoke psychological evidence-based solutions for individuals, groups, businesses and organisations.

The company was founded in 2011 by the Clinical and Research Lead, Dr Helen Molden (CPsychol). As a chartered counselling psychologist, Helen is an Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors.

In addition to her doctoral psychology and psychotherapy qualification, Helen has further trainings in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Compassionate Focused Therapy, Family Systemic Therapy, Play therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Photo therapy, and has been working in mental health services across all age groups since 1999.

The practice has a particular specialism in helping people to live well with chronic conditions that impact their physical and mental health, and the interaction between the two throughout life. For this work, an integrative relational approach, grounded in existentialism, can have real impact, as evidenced by the work of therapists such as Professor Irvin Yalom.

In addition to psychological assessments and consultation, Psychological is made up of a team of researchers who come together and collaborate for each research project.

Take Part

The research team at Psychological has recently begun an arts based youth participatory action research (YPAR) project looking at how children and young people understand emotions. We are currently recruiting schools in the UK who would like their students to take part, through a free 1.5h PSHE workshop, in the following age cohorts: year 6 and year 10.
